England enjoyed a comfortable victory over Wales at Wembley as Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins and Bukayo Saka all got on the scoresheet on Thursday evening on a successful night for Thomas Tuchel

England coasted to victory against Wales at Wembley on a night where Bukayo Saka shone. A dominant first-half performance ensured the Three Lions came away comfortable 3-0 victors over their rivals.

It took just three minutes for Morgan Rogers to open the scoring from close range after good work from Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi. And Ollie Watkins soon added a second to double the advantage of Thomas Tuchel’s side after 11 minutes, but unfortunately had to be replaced following a brutal collision with the post later in the game.

Arsenal ace Saka cut in on the edge of the box and unleashed a fierce strike to extend the lead after 20 minutes, with Wales scarcely able to muster a shot on target. A comfortable second period saw the hosts dominate possession once again as Tuchel’s men rarely looked troubled.

Mirror Football takes a look at the performances of England’s stars against Wales below:

Jordan Pickford 7

Kept a record-breaking eighth consecutive clean sheet with two super saves.

Ezri Konsa 7

The Villa defender looked comfortable at right back and provided an assist.

There is no substitute for quality. Classy, assured and still looks the part in defence.

Marc Guehi 7

Two assists and commanding in defence. Has become one of England’s first picks.

Djed Spence 7

Solid in only his second cap. Played left back, and his versatility gives him an edge.

Wore the armband – and led by example. Strong in midfield and delivered great set pieces.

Built on last month’s excellent camp with another assured display in the No6 role.

Bukayo Saka 8

What a goal. He is such an important player for club and country. Terrific.

Another terrific display in the No10 role. Has played better for England than Villa this season.

Anthony Gordon 7

Lively from the left and was dangerous through the middle after Watkins went off.

Ollie Watkins 7

Scored to prove England do have back-up for Kane. But limped off at half-time.
