Manchester United vs Tottenham tips
- Draw @ 11/4 with Betfred
- Marcus Rashford to score anytime @ 2/1 with Betfred
- Bet builder – both teams to score, Kobbie Mainoo to be carded and Bruno Fernandes to have a shot on target @ 6/1 with Betfred
Expect an Old Trafford stalemate
Neither the Red Devils nor Spurs have really hit their stride so far this season, with both sides on seven points after their first five games of the top-flight campaign.
Each team have managed two wins, a draw and two defeats, with only goal difference separating Tottenham in 10th place and United in 11th going into this weekend.
The previous meeting between these sides, in January at Old Trafford, ended 2-2.
A similar scoreline could well be the outcome on Sunday between two evenly matched outfits that have drawn in two of their previous four encounters.
Manchester United vs Tottenham tip 1: Draw @ 11/3 with Betfred
Rashford can again be thorn in Spurs’ side
While England international forward Marcus Rashford has had his critics over the past 12 months, there is no doubting his talent when he is on his game.
And there is also little doubting his liking for playing against Tottenham either, considering his impressive record against the north Londoners.
Rashford has scored six goals previously against Spurs, the most recent of those in their last meeting in Manchester at the start of this year.
He has netted in two of the previous three United games against the Lilywhites, so appeals in the anytime goalscorer market this time.
Manchester United vs Tottenham tip 2: Marcus Rashford to score anytime @ 2/1 with Betfred
Mainoo and Fernandes feature in bet builder
Looking at a bet builder selection for Sunday’s showdown at Old Trafford, the foundation is for both teams to find the back of the net.
With a draw predicted and Rashford to score anytime, it follows that Spurs will also get on the scoresheet in Manchester.
Added to both teams to score, look to Kobbie Mainoo to add to his yellow card collection at the start of this Premier League season.
No player has been booked in the English top flight this term more than Mainoo, who has already picked up three yellow cards.
The 19-year-old is likely to be in the thick of the midfield battle again so few eyebrows would be raised if he were to be cautioned again.
To complete this bet builder, back Bruno Fernandes to have a shot on target against Spurs.
The Portugal international is currently joint fourth in the Premier League rankings this term for most attempts on the mark.
Only Erling Haaland, Antoine Semenyo and Eberechi Eze have taken more than Fernandes’ 17 shots this season and the United talisman should get at least one on target against a sometimes ropey Tottenham backline.
Manchester United vs Tottenham tip 3: Both teams to score, Kobbie Mainoo to be carded and Bruno Fernandes to have a shot on target @ 6/1 with Betfred
