Now that was an adrenaline rush.

Heart-pounding video captured a snowboarder frantically racing for his life as he barely outruns a massive avalanche on a New Hampshire mountain this week.

The footage, posted online by the Mount Washington Observatory, shows the unidentified thrill-seeker getting more than he bargained for — zooming down Tuckerman Ravine as the snow closes in.

Officials at the observatory said the incident was captured on a webcam stationed at the summit of nearby Wildcat Mountain and shows the snowboarder on the left side of the video in the distance.

“After the camera zooms in, the snowboarder can be seen outrunning the avalanche,” the observatory said. “Luckily, no one involved was injured.”

He was lucky — Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeast and prone to mishaps.

Last year, a 20-year-old skier plunged 600 feet to her death after falling off Tuckerman Ravine.

According to the Mount Washington Avalanche Center, 25 people on average are injured climbing, hiking or skiing on the rugged mountain every year and need to be rescued by the US Forest Service or the Mount Washington Volunteer Ski Patrol.

The accidents range from sprained ankles to multi-systems trauma, to avalanche burials,” it said.
