In the Sena district of Ayutthaya, Thailand, 70-year-old La-iad has been living on the roof of his flooded house for nearly three weeks.

The Noi River has overflowed again, leaving more than 1,000 homes under water as the province enters its fourth month of flooding.

La-iad’s house was affected very early on, but he refused to leave, fearing he would lose his belongings and have nowhere else to go.

Due to the power outage, he relies on a single oil lamp for light at night. Residents fear the water will remain for months.
