Yahoo Mail is experiencing an outage across the US, leaving users unable to log into email accounts.
The issues, which hit around 2:30pm ET, are plaguing the app used by millions of Americans.
Downdetector, a site that monitors online outages, shows disruptions in major cities like New York, Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Approximately 70 percent of users cite issues with the app, 17 percent cannot login to accounts and 13 said there is an issue with the server connection, according to Downdetector.
‘I open the app, and it shuts down after about 5 seconds. The app won’t remain open! Maddening,’ Annette Young wrote on Downdetector.
Terri Jackson also commented on the site, saying the app is logging out even a second of them accessing their account.
Yahoo Mail users have shared their frustrations on X as well.
One users complained how the email service went down in the middle of a workday, while others have asked if ‘anyone else is having trouble signing into Yahoo Mail.’
Yahoo was once the most popular emailing service in the US when it launched in 1994, pioneering the dozens of platforms online today.
It is mostly be used by Gen Z and Millennials, with 60 percent of adults between the ages of 18 and 24 and the rest 25 through 44.
Yahoo Mail was the most popular service between 2002 and 2010.
But more than 227 million people are still using it to send and receive emails.
