The nominations for the 2024 Academy Awards were announced Tuesday morning by actors Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid at the motion picture academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater, starting at 5:30 a.m. The nominations streamed live worldwide on Oscar.com, Oscars.org and the film academy’s digital platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook), as well as airing on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

As expected, the “Barbenheimer” juggernaut dominated, with 21 nominations between the two films (“Oppenheimer” leading all with 13 and “Barbie” with eight), though some key omissions for “Barbie” — director Greta Gerwig and star Margot Robbie — raised eyebrows. Both films did collect best-picture nods. Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Poor Things” rolled to 11 noms, including for writing, direction and star Emma Stone. “Killers of the Flower Moon” was next with 10, though it notably did not receive a writing nod.

Two international features, “The Zone of Interest” and “Anatomy of a Fall,” posted impressive showings, with five each, including for best picture, writing and direction. Notably, “Anatomy” was not eligible for international feature; it made up that slot with a nomination for lead Sandra Hüller.

Who or what was snubbed? How did your favorites do? Below, find a complete list of this morning’s nominees.

The 96th Academy Awards will be presented March 10 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
