Emmerdale fans will finally find out what happened to Nate Robinson after he was last seen in the village in September
After months of speculation, Emmerdale fans will finally learn what happened to Nate Robinson. The character was last seen in the Dales in September – and there had been no trace – until the limo crash.
Before Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) died in the crash, she found a body under the lake, after she fell through the ice. She noticed some clues on the corpse that left her convinced it was Nate including his signature bracelet. There have been many theories since – with many fans convinced it was John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) who killed him.
Nate (Jurell Carter) first joined the show in April 2019, during the Big Night Out week of episodes. He was the son of Cain Dingle, (Jeff Hordley), although it wasn’t until Nate arrived that his father learned of his existence.
Whilst in the village, Nate pursued a relationship with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh), who became pregnant with their child, Frankie. However, the marriage broke down when it was revealed she had an affair with Caleb Milligan (Will Ash).
During his final scenes Nate had been accused of sleeping with his stepmother Moira Dingle, sparking a violent showdown with his dad Cain. The false accusation also destroyed things between Nate and Tracy again, despite previously being repaired.
As Nate made his way to the farm to confront Moira, he was stopped by John, who told him he would make matters worse by doing so. Nate agreed and decided he would be heading back to Shetland. However, it became clear that Nate had died after his body was discovered by Amy.
Many predicted Nate had been killed, with Cain and Caleb as suspects. However, many more turned their heads towards John – who was the last person to see him alive.
After Nate’s last appearance, John was seemingly missing from the village, as everyone was at the hospital getting checked over after the fire. However, John remained in the village.
Fans had also picked up on many other clues pointing towards John – including how easy he found it to dispose of Anthony Fox’s body. Another moment that raised eyebrows was when Steph could be seen looking into the water – into the spot where Nate’s body was found.
«Nice spot,» John said. It’s not the only time he’s acted shifty, either. Casting our minds back to Nate’s final scenes, John looked panicked as Nate’s ex Tracy was seen approaching his van before slamming it shut.
Those who watched the episode early on ITVX now know a big secret – but what really happened to Nate?
