Death Cab For Cutie recently extended their I Built You A Tower World Tour and added 23 shows in North America from January through April 2027.
That includes a stop at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, April 13.
All concerts come in support of DCFC’s recently-released 11th studio album that shares a name with the tour.
“Ben Gibbard and co. sound freshly emboldened on their first record in four years, with musicianship that evokes the band’s golden era and a mature, self-aware perspective on hardships and grief,” Pitchfork wrote in a review of the well-received record.
As noted above, these concerts won’t be the first for the I Built You A Tower World Tour, which began in earnest back in May.
At past shows on the summer run, the eight-time Grammy nominees performed 20-25 songs per gig. Based on our findings at Set List FM, tracks that often made the cut include fan favorites “Transatlanticism,” “I Will Possess Your Heart,” “Soul Meets Body,” “I Will Follow You Into The Dark” and “Cath…” as well as eight pulsing tunes from “I Built You A Tower.”
“My favorite part of the show…was how Death Cab built tension,” Rock DNA Magazine wrote in a five-star review of an August concert in Los Angeles.
“There were moments that carried the audience through elongated cresendos—cresendos that swelled like sonic exorcisms. The band locked into a three-minute-and-thirty-second intro for ‘I Will Possess Your Heart’ before vocals even hit. Then, for the encore, ‘Transatlanticism’ closed out the night with an outro that built, bubbled, and unleashed before eventually spilling over into catharsis. Once it did, and the show officially ended, I had to catch my breath.”
They’ll be joined by special guest Swapmeet on select dates in 2027.
Tickets officially go on sale to the general public for the newly-announced dates on Friday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster but are available now on trusted secondary market sites like Vivid Seats.

Death Cab For Cutie new music
On June 5, Death Cab For Cutie released their 11th studio album “I Built You A Tower.”
The record, their first since splitting from Atlantic Records, is a gentle, lyrical effort that occasionally goes shockingly hard for the indie rockers.
Standouts on the 11-track offering include the lilting, sweet “Full of Stars,” hard-charging jam “Punching the Flowers,” thrumming yet hypnotic bop “Envy the Birds,” ultra-catchy industrial rocker “How Heavenly A State” and chilled-out “Trap Door.”
However, if we had to choose the song that will have the most lasting impact, we’d have to give the title to the pulsating, muscly “I Built You A Tower (b),” which alternates between anger and sadness, capturing all the emotions one goes through during a breakup. Spine-tingling stuff.
