The heroic plumber who helped to stop the frenzied flydubai co-pilot from trying to crash an Israel-bound plane had a special message for his own hero, President Trump.
“Tell Trump that I love him,” Yaniv Hayoun asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when they embraced in his office Thursday, with the hero passenger still in his blood-soaked clothes.
Hayoun was one of the passengers who stopped the Omani native co-pilot from crashing the flydubai jet bound for Tel Aviv on Wednesday by putting him in a headlock and dragging him out of the cockpit.
Trump’s message of love toTrump came after the US president hailed him as a hero.
“An Israeli plumber, never flew a plane, was rarely in planes, very rarely flew,” Trump told reporters from the Oval Office Wednesday.
“And he saw what was going on and he heard the screaming…he ripped this guy out of the seat, threw him back, the crowd got him, the passengers got him.”
An investigation into the co-pilot’s motive is ongoing, with authorities probing any potential connection to terrorism.
An Israeli official has since claimed the co-pilot had mused about killing Jews online, fueling suspicion the staffer may have been fueled by antisemitism.
“His social media accounts [say] clearly that he has been radicalized into jihadist ideology,” they told the Times of Israel.
Netanyahu claimed the staffer “underwent Islamist radical indoctrination before carrying out the cockpit attack
“It looks very likely that he was going to down the plane,” he told “Fox and Friends.”
“The Islamist tendencies, that radicalization [that was] found in his background, I think that’s … a pretty good clue.” he said.
It remains unclear how the staffer worked the flight, which was eventually landed by two off-duty pilots in Saudi Arabia, since Oman doesn’t have any diplomatic relations with the Jewish State.
