How Jalen Brunson keeps making case in ‘face of the NBA’ debate

There is no question now that Jalen Brunson is among the faces of the NBA, perhaps even at the top of any star-studded list.

The Knicks captain doesn’t need to be the best player in the league or a perennial MVP front-runner to achieve that lofty status, but winning — and having clutch performances in doing so — certainly goes a long way, particularly in New York.

Brunson continues to enjoy the perks of delivering the woebegone franchise’s first championship in 53 years earlier this year, adding to his IMDB page with an appearance alongside Celebrity Row regular and famed No. 11 stan Mariska Hargitay as Detective Jay Madison (as in Square Garden!) on Thursday night’s episode entitled “Forsaken” of Season 28 of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” on NBC.

Look, Brunson still has a better chance of earning personal hardware in the NBA than he does of garnering an Emmy nod for his acting chops, which also included an uneven turn as the host of “Saturday Night Live” on Sept. 26. (I actually thought teammate OG Anunoby’s “That was awesome” ode to Chris Farley was the best part of that SNL episode.)
