“Gibraltar español,” said Margaritis Schinas, when asked about the sensitive negotiations in Seville. The slogan, which means “Gibraltar is Spanish” and dates back to the Franco era, is chanted by those who claim the Rock is a colony and rightfully belongs to Spain.
