The ladies of The View seem to be taking a break ahead of Memorial Day weekend.
The ABC talk show aired a repeat episode during Friday’s (May 22) broadcast instead of a new episode, which may leave some fans wondering when the show will return with all new episodes. Today’s broadcast, however, features a tense interview between hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Alina Habba, President Trump’s former White House counselor and personal attorney, that aired on April 29.
The ladies got into a heated exchange about Trump’s most divisive policies in health care and immigration. The interview took place just after former FBI director James Comey was indicted for sharing a controversial photo on social media that showed seashells arranged to read, “86 47,” which Habba claimed meant “to kill the president, to get rid of the president.”
“This is an FBI director. We have responsibilities,” she said, before turning to the hosts to remind them, “You guys have responsibilities not to call the president certain things, or say things that can incite violence.”
Habba said that being present at the White House Correspondents Dinner the weekend before, where a shooter attempted to storm the building to assassinate Trump, gave her a “completely new perspective on how important our voices are and how we use them.”
The View guests today also includes comedian Craig Ferguson.
Today’s episode of The View is not new. But when will The View return with new episodes? Here’s everything we know about what’s coming up next on the ABC talk show.
