This is the adorable moment a dog refused to eat its food until its owner took its paw and said grace.
Gamer and content creator Haley Buckland, who graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College last year, took to TikTok to share the sweet moment her hound declined its meal until the two prayed together.
In the video, the four-legged cutester could be seen edging closer to the snack – only to retreat again while looking sheepishly into Haley’s eyes.
The influencer, 25, explained that her dog wouldn’t consume the grub until she recited the renown ‘God is great, God is good’ prayer, at which point she did and the hound happily gobbled it down.
Viewers were left fascinated by the devout dog, while many claimed its behaviour was the reason behind the saying ‘all dogs go to Heaven’.

The video opened up with the caption: ‘Point of view your dog won’t eat unless you say a prayer’.
Hayley and her dog can be seen in what appears to be a kitchen, as she gives her pet the command to ‘go and eat’ its food: ‘Go, go! You can eat it’ she said.
While at first the dog moved towards its food with delicious excitement, it later paused halfway and looked back at Hayley, locking her in a mysterious gaze.
Although she continued to encourage the dog to ‘go eat it’, it would only take a few steps before turning back around to offer yet another downcast look.
‘Eat it, it’s just a little snack’ she continued. ‘You can eat it. Go! Oh my gosh!’
At this point the dog was right in front of its meal, yet it refused to begin eating – forcing Hayley to give in.
The cutest moment then occurred when she said ‘okay, come on’, signalling the pet to reach out its paw to her foot, presumably in preparation for prayer.
The dog placed its paw on top of Hayley’s foot as she said Grace: ‘God is good, God is great’ she began.

‘Let us thank Him for our food. By His hands we all are fed. Thank You Lord for our daily bread, amen’.
The dog then merrily skipped over to its waiting meal and gobbled it down in one gulp.
The video – which has been viewed nearly 8 million times – has left social users in awe, with many of them praising the hound for its seemingly religious nature.
One person wrote: ‘They say all dogs go to Heaven, so he’s making sure his spot is secured’.
Another agreed: ‘This why dogs go to Heaven’.

‘Bro said you’re not about to get him in trouble with The Lord’ joked one.
‘Now that’s a dog of God okay’ said another.
Meanwhile one person was eager to train their dog the same way: ‘Nah how do I teach my dog that?’ they asked.
For naysayers thinking the video was a fluke, Hayley explained that the same thing happened when her dog was at a sitter’s accommodation.
She said: ‘When he was at a doggy hotel they told me he wasn’t eating. I had to tell them they have to pray and he will eat after [they say] “Amen” and it worked!’
