Alec Baldwin’s wife Hilaria has told her husband she is about to drop a major bombshell on her the family with a surprise announcement.

In recent scenes from their show, The Baldwins, currently airing weekly on TLC in the US and streaming on Discovery+ a day later in the UK, have given viewers an intimate peek into the personal world of the couple and their extensive brood.

Audiences have seen raw moments such as the Emmy-winner Alec grappling with his OCD battles and dealing with Hilaria’s defiance against public scrutiny concerning issues like her accent. The chaotic life with their seven little ones, with Carmen being the eldest at 10 years old, has also made it to screen.

But just when you thought you’d seen it all, the end of this week’s episode throws a curveball for the next, teasing a momentous disclosure.

In the preview, the Baldwins are set to employ a dog whisperer to put an end to their pooches treating their pricey ‘$40,000 hand-knitted’ carpet like a toilet, reports the Irish Star.

The couple is shown enjoying a dance class, embracing ‘fun’ as a motto for what lies ahead, when suddenly Hilaria hints at something huge.

She cryptically alerts Alec: «I’m about to drop a bomb on you.» Pressed for details, she astonishingly announces: «I’m having another baby.»

One of the kids is sat next to her on the sofa, visibly taken aback at the thought of another sibling. However, when the camera pans to Alec for his reaction, he remains poker-faced, refusing to reveal anything.

Fans will now have to hold their breath for another week to see if Hilaria was indeed dropping a bombshell family announcement, or simply pulling a prank on her husband.

It follows Hilaria’s candid discussion about the ups and downs of motherhood and childbirth. In an earlier episode, she revealed that two of her children were born just five and a half months apart.

This occurred after they chose to have one child via surrogate, only to find out shortly afterwards that she had naturally fallen pregnant. As a result, the children are only months apart in age, leading Alec to humorously dub them ‘the twins’.

Before The Baldwins aired, the couple discussed the possibility of having an eighth child together. Hilaria told People that Alec is ‘always asking for more kids’. However, the 41 year old admitted: «My body’s really tired.»
