Der Astrid-Lindgren-Gedächtnispreis geht in diesem Jahr an die australische Organisation «Indigenous Literacy Foundation». Seit 2011 arbeitet die Stiftung zur Leseförderung in den indigenen Gemeinschaften des Landes daran, Kindern auch in abgelegenen Siedlungen Zugang zu guter Literatur für junge Leser zu ermöglichen.
