The former home of Audrey Hepburn in Switzerland is up for sale with a guide price of around £17,500,000 or CHF 19,000,000.
Hepburn lived in the 12-bedroom eighteenth century Swiss home, La Paisible, which translates as The Peaceful, for 30 years.
It is nestled in the picturesque village of Tolochenaz, near Lausanne, and offers a glimpse into the private world of one of Hollywood’s most famous icons.
Spanning approximately 1,000 square meters across three levels, the property has 21 rooms, including eight bathrooms.
Historic details, such as terracotta floors, oak parquet, and five fireplaces, blend with modern updates throughout following a renovation in 2021.
The 16,000 square metre park surrounding the home is dotted with century-old trees and has a private heated outdoor swimming pool.

Internally, the home is exquisitely designed, providing a relaxing and luxurious setting. It has large windows throughout, filling the house with light and a sense of space.
The property has two indoor garages and outdoor parking for about 15 cars.
It has five entrances, one of which provides access to a service apartment with two bedrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen integrated into the main house.
Speaking to This is Money, Alex Koch de Gooreynd, a partner at Knight Frank, said: ‘Switzerland remains a top choice for families mindful of taxation, with a steady flow of new enquiries exploring its diverse lifestyle offerings across the cantons.
‘While not the most affordable tax jurisdiction, Switzerland stands out for its exceptional stability, personal safety, and world-class education.
‘Cantons that best align with families’ previous lifestyles are benefiting the most—particularly the Lake Geneva region and year-round resort destinations like Verbier, Gstaad, and Crans Montana, where access to private schools and vibrant communities is a key draw.’
He added: ‘Le Paisible, nestled in the tranquil village of Tolochenaz, offers an ideal balance of privacy and accessibility.
‘Just a short drive from Lausanne, a dynamic alternative to Geneva with excellent schools, this charming country home provides a vast flat plot, exceptional seclusion, and ample space for a large family.
‘The home’s timeless architecture, a sought-after feature among ultra-high-net-worth families, only adds to its appeal.
‘It’s easy to see why Audrey Hepburn adored the environment, where she enjoyed both complete privacy and breath-taking surroundings.’
