A home which is on the market for only £195,000 has gone viral for its unusual choice of decor.
The home in Uphall, near Edinburgh, Scotland, has caught the eye of prospective buyers for its bold purple colour scheme.
However, auctioneers are hoping the house will reach its guide price when it goes up for sale later this week with agents Prime Property Auctions describing it as an ‘exceptional three-bed semi-detached’ property.
Most of the rooms are covered in different shades of purple, while the outside of the house is painted entirely black.
Glitter also features heavily in the interior design with glitter units in the kitchen as you enter the home and sparkling wallpaper that runs the length of the hallway.
In the living room, the homeowner’s love of purple continues with shiny metallic wallpaper covering every surface and complimented with matching purple cushions.
Moving upstairs the hallway is lit up by black glitter ceilings, a black glitter bathroom with a purple toilet roll holder and an office with a black and purple checkerboard wall.
A description from agents Prime Property Auctions reads: ‘The property offers fantastic capital growth potential.

‘Sure to appeal to homeowners looking for an excellent new home or shrewd investors looking for an easily lettable property in a sought-after location.
‘The property is situated just a short nine minute drive into the popular location of Livingston. This home offers a wonderful lifestyle in a prime location.’
Prime Property Auctions added that the home could make a monthly return of £1,200 to £1,300 for the new homeowners if it was rented out.
Two of the bedrooms also feature clocks that cover part of the wall and as an added touch have skulls in place of the more traditional numbers.
Several people have taken to social media to comment on the home’s unusual design.
One person said: ‘This might actually be the worst thing I’ve ever seen.
‘If the Addams family’s house was remade on the Sims by a goth teenager taking inspiration from emo Tumblr pages.’
Another commented: ‘This is one of the worst houses I’ve seen (without an upholstered, grey, crushed velvet, lion-headed, door knocker bar stool in sight) and yet I kind of grudgingly admire the owners for picking and sticking to a theme, peculiar and misguided as it is.’

One person added: ‘I’d consider myself a closet goth with a love of all things black and purple, and even I wouldn’t touch this.’
However, one person was on board with the design they remarked: ‘Loving this. If this was for sale near me I would definitely be going round for a viewing.
‘Not sure if my husband would be able to drag me out though, I might have to be sold with the house.’
