Good evening. Joe Biden has said that student protesters do not have the “right to cause chaos”, after a pro-Palestinian encampment was cleared by police at California’s UCLA.

Elsewhere, Kate Forbes has announced that she will not stand to be the next leader of the SNP.

The US President said he did not oppose “peaceful protest”, but criticised activists who destroyed university property, intimidated Jewish students, and forced the cancellation of lessons. Meanwhile, protesters appealed for helmets, goggles and zip ties – but no bagels or coffee – in a standoff with police.
