Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it’s investigating the financials of Elon Musk’s pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, ‘The A Word’, which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

A dehumidifier may not be the most exciting purchase but it is definitely a practical one that’s worth the investment. These appliances reduce damp in the home, potentially help prevent mould, and can speed up laundry drying times. If you’re looking to save money on a new model, Black Friday, which lands this month, could be a wise time to buy.

Of course, it’s not just dehumidifiers that could see their prices slashed during the four-day shopping event. A host of home appliances such as air fryers and vacuum cleaners see stellar savings in the November sale. Plus, we’re also gearing up for savings on skincare, iPads, TVs and other big-ticket tech deals, so it’s certainly one to watch.

When Black Friday does finally roll around, the IndyBest team of shopping experts and deal hunters will be bringing you the very best deals from brands such as Dyson, Apple, Ugg, Ninja and more.

Where dehumidifiers are concerned, we’ve seen deals on De’Longhi, Russell Hobbs and B&Q in the past, and we’re hoping to see even more discounts on top-rated models we’ve tried, tested and approved ourselves in 2024. In the meantime, keep scrolling for everything you need to know about Black Friday, plus the dehumidifier deals you can shop right now.

When will the dehumidifier Black Friday deals start in 2024?

In 2024, the Black Friday sale will officially start on Friday 29 November, before culminating on Cyber Monday (2nd December). So, we can expect most dehumidifiers to arrive around this time. However, brands and retailers like to get ahead of the game and many often launch deals weeks in advance, including home appliance big-hitters such as Amazon, Curry’s and John Lewis, which began dropping discounts as early as October last year.

What to expect from dehumidifier deals for Black Friday 2024

While we can’t look into a crystal ball and share the exact dehumidifier deals we’ll see this Black Friday, we can look to previous years and speculate on what to expect. In 2023, we saw deals on De’Longhi, Russell Hobbs and more. One of our favorite tried-and-tested dehumidifiers, De’Longhi’s DEX212F (£220, Amazon.co.uk), was reduced to less than £200.

Elsewhere, you could have saved money on Russell Hobbs’s 10l dehumidifier (was £199, now £149, Very.co.uk), which Very discounted by £70. B&Q’s 10l dehumidifier (£139,  Diy.com) was reduced by 30 per cent, while, at Homebase, you could have saved £50 on a 20l model (was £200, now £149, Homebase.co.uk).

Best dehumidifier deals to shop now

Can’t wait to nab a dehumidifier deal? We’ve found some offers you can shop right now.

Russel Hobbs fresh air dehumidifier: Was £51.99, now £38.99, Amazon.co.uk

(Currys)

This Russel Hobbs fresh air dehumidifier was recommended by our reviewer for small spaces and rooms up to 15 square metres, as it’s “so compact it will sit neatly on your shelves or sideboard without you even realising it’s there”. Currently discounted by 25 per cent at Amazon, it’s both quiet and easy to use, according to our reviewer, as there’s “just one simple button to switch it on and get it to work”.

Bora smart 20l dehumidifier: Was £299.99, now £249, Currys.co.uk

(Duxx)

Our favourite dehumidifier is reduced by £50 at the minute. Our reviewer tried and tested many different models from brands including De’Longhi and Sharp, but this was the one that came out on top. It’s ideal for “homes with severe humidity issues”, they said, and the “generous 4l tank means less frequent emptying”. It’s self cleaning and can be controlled via a smart app or the control panel on the machine itself. Plus, the odour reducing carbon fibre filter “proved especially useful when testing in the kitchen after cooking and in the bedroom, leaving the air noticeably fresher”, they said.

(Daewoo)

Our reviewer particularly loved the air-purifying capability of this model, as it makes it “ideal for allergy sufferers, by controlling humidity levels and enhancing air quality”. There’s a user-friendly control panel on top of the unit that comes complete with LED lights, and, the model “excelled at speeding up laundry drying, particularly on full fan setting”, they said. Right now, it’s available with a modest £10 discount at Robert Dyas.

(Honeywell)

Don’t be fooled by this dehumidifier’s size. When we reviewed it, our tester dubbed it the best for small spaces, adding that it packed “a surprising punch, collecting up to 12l of water over 24 hours, with a generously sized 2.5l tank”. It costs just 5p an hour to run and comes with a washable dust filter, which is useful for those with allergies. This is quite a modest discount, but, if you’re after a tried and tested buy, it certainly merits a look.

Vonhaus 20l dehumidifier: Was £179.99, now £164.99, Vonhaus.com

(Vonhaus)

Whether you’re looking to cut down on laundry drying times or keep damp and mildew at bay, this dehumidifier from tried-and-tested brand Vonhaus is on sale. It will hold 20l of moisture and features an LED display, through which you’ll be able to adjust the fan speed, humidity percentage and timer settings.

UniBond aero 360 degree humidity absorber: Was £13.49, now £12.41, Amazon.co.uk

(UniBond)

This is already a very inexpensive, non-electric dehumidifier from UniBond that now costs even less. In our review of the best dehumidifiers, it was said to be ideal for small spaces. “It works by encouraging air to circulate and flow through a tablet similar in design to a dishwasher tablet”, our reviewer explained. “It then stores any moisture collected in the bottom tank, which can be simply tipped away when full.”
