A British tourist has claimed that she was sexually assaulted during a massage on holiday to Greece.

The 37-year-old had been staying at a hotel on Rhodes when she said she was touched inappropriately while on the massage table last Thursday.

The employee touched her with their fingernail six times in a disputed area but the holidaymaker said there was no need or context as to why the masseuse touched her there.

She told cops at the Ialisos Police Station that she felt uncomfortable and offended by the ‘indecent and violating’ behaviour, it was reported in local paper Proto Thema.

She added that there was no consent for the employee from the hotel in the Kremasti area for that specific contact, which was an ‘insult to her sexual decency’.

The tourist, who had been visiting the popular Greek island as part of her summer holiday, has filed a lawsuit for sexual assault and indecent assault.

The police have also launched an investigation into the alleged assault.

The complaint comes only hours after a British tourist was found dead on his sun lounger on another Greek island.

The 73-year-old man was found by fellow beach-goers at the spot in Agia Paraskevi, Skiathos, on Friday.

They alerted a lifeguard who provided first aid and called the emergency services, according to local reports.

A doctor from a nearby health centre tried for 40 minutes to revive the tourist but unfortunately was unable to do so.

The man’s cause of death is unknown, and an autopsy is being carried out.

It comes after another British tourist was also found dead on a Greek beach.

The 68-year-old man was tragically found dead in Lindos, on the island of Rhodes on June 12.

Local media reported that he had apparently gone for a swim, and lost consciousness before passing away.
