Britney Spears is happy that ex-husband Sam Asghari has found someone ‘more his age,’ according to sources who say the singer’s ‘only hope’ is that Sam treats his new girlfriend with ‘respect’.
New Year’s Day saw Sam, 30, go Instagram official with his new love Brooke Irvine, with the fitness model sharing a series of loved-up snaps with the real estate agent on Instagram.
Sam and Brooke looked every inch the happy couple in the snaps which featured them relaxing on a beach together and sharing a late-night kiss.
It’s the aspiring actor’s first relationship since he filed for divorce from Britney in August 2023 after 14 months of marriage. The divorce was officially finalized in May of last year when the pair reached a settlement.
Now insiders have revealed that Britney has nothing but well-wishes for her former partner of over six years.
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, a source stated: ‘While she is so happy that he has found a beautiful blonde woman who is more his age, her only hope is that he treats her with the love and respect that she deserves and spends quality time with her rather than playing video games all day long.

‘Britney is not looking back and has nothing but love for him and Brooke.’
Brooke, who handles real estate sales in Beverly Hills, Brentwood and the westside of Los Angeles, was first spotted with Sam back in September.
The new romance marks a change of heart for Sam who recently told Us Weekly he was focusing on his career, while joking about being in a relationship with his dog.
He joked: ‘Right now, I’m dating a very high-maintenance girl and, you know, I have to get her nails done and take her to the dog park and feed her good food and get her really nice treats.’
‘That is what I’m focused on at the moment. And [a] career is something that’s going to require 100 percent of your time, and I’m really putting all that effort and putting all of my mindset towards acting… [and my] producing career.’
He added: ‘It deserves that type of work ethic, and watching my sisters do such an amazing thing at pursuing their dreams makes me inspired.’
‘Watching them work 100 percent makes me realize it’s going to take 100-and-something percent to reach my goals.’
Sam emphasized: ‘My goals are always the opposite of my personality. That’s gonna require a lot of time, so I’m not really focusing on [dating] at the moment.’

In a since-deleted Instagram post in July, Britney captioned she was ‘Single as f***!!!’ and declared, ‘I will never be with another man as long as I live!!!’
Britney previously discussed her divorce from Sam on Instagram, saying it was ‘nobody’s business’.
She wrote: ‘Six years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because it’s honestly nobody’s business !!!

The singer – who recently returned from a lengthy getaway to Mexico for her birthday – filmed herself with 18-year-old Jayden as they spent time together.
The star notably shares Jayden as well as Sean, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Her sons moved to Hawaii last year with their father but Spears has reportedly been ‘focusing’ on fixing her bond with her kids.
The pop superstar later expressed her gratitude and ‘shock’ over their recent reunion in her caption, after not seeing him for more than ‘2 and half years or maybe 3.’
