Celebrity Big Brother hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best have revealed their thoughts on the rumoured line-up for this years series which is due to kick off in a matter of days
With less than a week to go until the return of Celebrity Big Brother, hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best are holding out hope that Big Brother legend Davina McCall could return to the show – but this time on the other side of the house.
Talking of Davina, who hosted Big Brother from 2000 until 2010, Will says, “I’d love to see her go in, she’d win! She would be amazing because she’s the nicest person in the world, as well as being funny and great and awesome.” AJ adds, “I’d quite enjoy seeing Davina go in and say, ‘Fancy another one?’ But who knows, the rumour mill is churning”.
AJ – who says the list of housemates confirmed are ‘under lock and key’ with an ITV exec – isn’t wrong about those rumours, with names such as Chesney Hawkes and Patsy Palmer rumoured to have signed up to enter the house.

Assuring they’ve not got a clue who will be on the roster for this year, AJ and Will admit they’re keen to see Coronation Street ’s Jack P. Shepherd enter the house, amid rumours that he is following in the footsteps of co-star Colson Smith, who reached the final last series. “Jack would be great, he’d have no filter,” says Will.
But it’s not all about star power for Will, who continues, “Once it starts, the size of the names don’t necessarily matter, it’s just how people fit together. That’s always the most important thing, and I think when they are casting the celeb one, they put as much thought into how is this group going to work together.
That I think is always more important than just, let’s just get the biggest names. That said, I’m sure there will be some big names.”
The show not only has a new line of celebrities waiting to get stuck in, but a new location too, which AJ and Will tell us they’re yet to visit. «The only thing we know about the house, well we think, is that it’s all going to be on one floor.
«So, there won’t be the mezzanine, but we’ve been assured that there will be surprises, whether that’s secret rooms, secret areas, things that change. I think the house itself is a bit of a character in its own right,» says Will. And a new location means the team will be on the hunt for a new local when not filming, as Will continues.
«I think there’s a dedicated team member in charge of finding a replacement pub for our afterparties, that’s the most important thing. The studio has more space itself so we can have drinks after the show, there will be somewhere for a glass of Prosecco post eviction.
There’s plenty of change for this season of the show, but some things will remain, including AJ’s range of show-stopping outfits each week for the live evictions. She laughs, “I’ve always got five people and a giant bottle of talcum powder getting me into a catsuit.» While Will says he’s usually busy having his ceremonial pre-show beer as that’s going on. The glitz and glamour of TV…
