A JetBlue flight attendant has been branded a ‘diva’ after forcing a male passenger to hold a fan in front of her face during a safety demonstration.
The flight attendant, who has not been publicly named, was instructing passengers on a flight from Aruba to JFK on Sunday when she shoved the item into Les Kramsky’s hand.
She then instructed him to move it up, down and to the side, as she showed passengers where the emergency doors were.
Les, 59, said he was stunned by the interaction – but obliged. He was traveling with his family, including his daughter Jayna, who filmed the incident and posted it on TikTok.
They say the flight attendant told them she was hot, and that the sleeves of her uniform ‘weren’t very breathable’.
‘She touches my hand and starts adjusting my hand so that it could go higher, lower, because she wanted it on her face.
‘She’s like, «no higher, higher,» and she’s moving my hand up and down, side by side, and I’m in shock because she never said please or thank you!,’ Les told DailyMail.com.

Les said the flight attendant was moving his hand so the air from the fan was hitting her face. A father-of-three, ‘unfazed’ Les obliged. ‘I’m now a personal fan holder!’ he joked to DailyMail.com
‘She goes, “Yes, I’m fine. I’m wearing long sleeves, and they’re not very breathable,”’ Jayna told DailyMail.com.
Jayna said before the odd interaction, ‘we’re all just like doing her own thing on our phones, chatting whatever.’
She added: ‘The flight attendant just goes up to my dad and gives him the pink fan. We all look at each other like «what’s going on?»‘
Jayna and her father said they did not see the attendant for the rest of the flight.
‘Who is the DIVA,’ someone wrote next to a heart emoji.
Other passengers agreed – but flight attendants were quick to defend her.
‘I felt this to the core of my soul! It just be so HOT while doing the safety demo!’ one said.
‘As a former JetBlue FA I understand. There were plenty of times that I almost passed out due to heat while on the ground,’ another person added.
While some found her actions ‘tacky and unprofessional,’ other commenters claimed the flight attendant looked unwell during the video, speculating that she was simply trying to find away to keep working.
‘She looks like she’s going to pass out,’ one concerned commenter said.
‘That poor girl looks like she’s about to faint I understand her reason for that,’ someone agreed.

‘She didn’t say she was hot or not feeling well, she said she was totally fine,’ Jayna reiterated.
‘Dad’s a great sport,’ one person mused.
While many found it hilarious, Les was ‘unfazed’.
‘He’s a father of three kids, two daughters, who he’ll do anything for. So, he’s just like «okay.»‘
JetBlue has not responded to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.
The baffling situation has left the family with a ‘hilarious’ memory, Jayna and Les agreed.
‘I thought it was the funniest thing because I’ve never seen this before, especially from a flight attendant. It was a harmless gesture.’
Les jokingly added: ‘I have never seen a flight attendant with their own personal fan and I have never experience a flight attendant with their own personal fan holder – which I am!’
Jayna said her father was ‘unfazed’ by the flight attendant and agrees with the ‘daughter dad’ comments on the viral TikTok
