Danny Walters is over the moon as he revealed he has become a dad for the first time. The 31-year-old actor, famed for his role as Keanu Taylor in EastEnders, has taken to Instagram to share the joyous news of his baby girl’s arrival with long-time love Maddi.

Posting an adorable picture of his newborn daughter’s hand, Danny captioned it: «One month with you, Autumn. Born March ’25 (sic)». Messages of congratulations have flooded in from Danny’s celebrity friends, including EastEnders alum Dianne Parish, who portrays Denise Fox. She commented: «Ah wow! Congrats to you all Danny. (sic)».

Emma Barton, known to fans as Honey Mitchell from the same BBC soap, also extended her well wishes, writing: «Congrats darling… [heart emojis] (sic)».

As did Clair Norris, who played Bernadette Taylor, Danny’s on-screen sister. She expressed her happiness by responding with a string of heart emojis.

Danny’s exit from EastEnders was shrouded in drama in 2023, culminating in his character Keanu being killed off by Linda Carter. At the time, Danny confessed that keeping his departure a secret was a challenge, saying: «It’s been extremely difficult!

«I feel like I’ve been very deceitful to my friends and my family and have made many excuses! But, I wanted the storyline to have as much impact as possible for the audience, so I’ve tried my best to keep everything a secret and hopefully, that’s paid off.»

However, Danny was thrilled to be at the heart of the EastEnders Christmas special. When quizzed about his emotions upon reading his final EastEnders script, Danny responded: «The Christmas Day episode is a great episode.

«It stands alone, and there is so much to it. The writing in the script was fantastic, and every character had such a great storyline throughout the whole episode.»

He added, «For my character, the episode is a real rollercoaster of emotions from the highs and the lows. It was such a pleasure to be part of.»

His character’s exit story rumbled on for months – even without the star. In March last year Keanu Taylor’s body was found by residents as a corpse was found in the café.

Viewers knew that on Christmas Day, Keanu was stabbed to death with a meat thermometer by Linda who was trying to protect Sharon Watts, as Keanu began strangling her. The Six, including Sharon, Linda, Suki Panesar, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale and Denise Fox, then covered up the crime and their parts in it.

However, after Keanu’s corpse was buried under the floor of the café and the group lied to police about his whereabouts, his true fate came to light after a body was found at the café when the floor caved in.
