An eight-year-old singer has gone viral for her performance of the national anthem on Wednesday night at the Indiana Pacers game.
Kinsley Murray took the court at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in an American flag dress and white gloves before delivering a passionate rendition of the ‘Star-Spangled Banner.’
The young performer was extremely confident in front of the Pacers’ crowd, putting her own stamp on the famous song with several vocal runs and raspiness at times.
Murray’s performance earned a loud ovation from the crowd and a glowing review from the Pacers’ TikTok account.
‘The passion. the outfit. this anthem performance was unmatched,’ the team captioned a video of her singing.

Some people cruelly compared Kinsley’s performance to Fergie’s infamous national anthem
The video has over 15million views and 1.5million likes as of Thursday morning.
However, others were less nice as they compared Murray’s performance to Fergie’s infamous singing at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.
That year, the Black Eyed Peas singer bemused the crowd with a bizarre rendition of the national anthem, as the likes of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green were forced to hold back their laughter.
One TikTok commenter called Murray’s performance the ‘Kidz Bop version of Fergie’s.’
Another said,’ ‘All I’m saying is that no one has seen her and Fergie in the same room.’
Nonetheless, it seems that Murray’s work singing is still in demand as she sang at the Dayton vs. Davidson college game the following night.
