A famous YouTuber  has been blasted for an insensitive post about the Los Angeles wildfires that have killed at least five people and forced thousands to flee.

Meg DeAngelis, 29, is a Canadian actress and content creator with millions of followers across various social media platforms.

On Wednesday, she posted a pouty selfie on her Instagram Stories with the caption: ‘When I escaped NYC because it was too cold, but now this one is literally burning down.’

But the apparent joke about swapping New York’s cold for Los Angeles’ deadly heat prompted swift backlash as critics labeled her tone-deaf and inconsiderate to the tragedy.

‘The privilege is crazy,’ one person said. ‘Omg girl read the room,’ said another.

‘Omg [what the h**l]… NYC was too cold and this one is too «hot» because thousands of homes have BURNED DOWN, and people have DIED? Idiot,’ a third person said.

‘»Escaped NYC because it was too cold…» coming from someone who doesn’t commute to work and doesn’t ever have to leave the house if they don’t want to is crazy crazy,’ said a fourth person.

‘And that’s not to even mention how insensitive this is to say about the fires’

Other lambasted DeAngelis for not using her influence to bring awareness and acknowledge the devastation.

‘Omg that’s horrible and so stupid. My friend’s house literally just burned down! People have died! Not to mention all the pets and wildlife. I wanna punch her,’ one person said.

‘Disgusting, but what else should we expect from an out-of-touch influencer. People have lost everything,’ said another.

‘If you don’t have helpful information for people in this ongoing crisis why are you posting?? People are so disgustingly narcissistic they just HAVE to post on Instagram and somehow make this catastrophic situation about themselves,’ a third person said.

DeAngelis quickly backpedaled in a follow up post with a picture of the glowing orange California sky.

‘In all seriousness, this is heartbreaking. I’m thinking about all the wildlife and everyone who is affected,’ she said.

‘I’m so sorry you have to go through this. Love you and make sure you check on your friends!’

A shocking photo captured an unidentified group stopping to pose for smiling selfies near burning homes as raging wildfires ravaged Pacific Palisades on Tuesday.

As firefighters battle the raging blazes, influencers are being blasted for pausing their evacuations to record themselves and take selfies.

Influencer Tara’s World was slammed for filming videos during the power outages instead of evacuating.

‘All of the power went out in our house because we’re in an insane windstorm and there’s like legit fires, so we’re going to go on a nighttime adventure,’ she said Tuesday night.

Wednesday morning she recorded the debris blown into her pool and complained of the food spoiling in her refrigerator because the power was still out.

Commenters begged her to prepare to evacuate by packing a bag and getting out before the flames get closer.
