An influencer has revealed five designer shoes that she hates – and why she would never, ever repurchase them.
The insight was shared in a new video this week made by London-based content creator Amelia Liana, who boasts over half a million followers on TikTok.
Liana shockingly began the clip by calling out a popular style of Chanel shoes – their sling back heels, which are a classic piece worn by the likes of Nicky Hilton and Vanessa Hudgens.
‘I was recently wondering why I never wear these, and I was speaking with a friend recently, and she agreed with me that they don’t flatter that legs,’ Liana admitted about the $1,100 shoes.
‘For some reason, on me and her, who have very different body types, we’ve both found that they are really unflattering,’ she continued.

She said the shoes also don’t give your legs a ‘lift’ and are reminiscent of what moms would wear.
However, strangely enough, the fashion blogger admitted that the flat sling backs from Chanel were much more flattering, and that she’s a big fan of those.
Next on her list was a pair of the trendy, sky-high Valentino Tan-go platform pumps.
The designer shoes, which retail for over $1,000, were made popular last year by both celebrities and influencers alike.
Stars like Lizzo, Beyoncé, Gigi Hadid and Morgan Stewart all rocked the shoes, which come in a variety of colors like nude and hot pink, on the red carpet and beyond.
Liana herself owns a pair in black patent leather, but has a few qualms with the pricey pumps.
‘I love the look of them, they are firstly about fifty [pounds]… I can’t walk, I need someone to help me walk, I’ve fallen over every time I’ve worn these and I haven’t even been drunk,’ she shared.
‘And, I can’t even pack these in my suitcase because they’re so heavy,’ she concluded.

‘They’re so uncomfortable,’ Liana admitted to viewers.
She said that her Christian Louboutin Pigalle stiletto heels, which she described as ‘death to the feet,’ were more comfortable than the ones by Gianvito Rossi.
‘Even if I wear these in the car to dinner, and get out of the car and get back in the car again, I have blisters,’ she shared of the heels.
And, finally, for shoes four and five, she named the popular Saint Laurent mules, which retail for around $945 and feature a cut out at the toe.
She confessed that she should have bought the Christian Louboutin Me Dolly mules instead.
Liana held up two pairs of the shoes – one in white leather, and another in a leopard-print pattern.
‘They’re just not that sexy on the feet,’ she said of the YSL shoes. ‘The Louboutins are very sexy on the feet.’
‘You know what I think about these?’ she continued. ‘They almost need to give you more sexy toe coverage, and they don’t, they’re a bit too conservative.’
However, in the comments section, fans were left divided over her analysis – especially about the Chanel slingbacks.
