A wannabe Tarzan standing on a tree plunged 60 feet and slammed into a Florida creek when a pair of branches snapped, video shows.

Christopher James Sikes Smalley only suffered minor injuries even as he smacked into another branch on his way into well-known Crystal Springs in Vernon last month, the new footage shows.

Smalley wanted to jump 60 feet into the swimming spot, but the branch he was standing on broke and then the branch he was holding onto above his head also cracked as the limbs followed him into the creek.

Christopher James Sikes Smalley suffered only minor injuries when he plunged 60 feet into a creek after the tree branch he was standing on broke.

A group of people on a small boat appeared ready to jump in after him before he quickly surfaced.

Smalley reportedly said he typically jumps from a lower branch, but decided to try leaping into the water from a higher point.

“The fall was crazy. I knew when I heard the branch crack that it just got real and I was going down,” he told Storyful.

While Smalley sustained bruising on his legs and dealt with foot injuries, he avoided any broken or fractured bones.

“It was the first time at that height. I jump from the branch I hit on the way down all the time.”
