Giants drawn to Jaxson Dart’s innate leadership ability that is getting rave reviews

Princely Umanmielen’s relationships with quarterbacks were largely impact based. As in, he hit them, they went down.

In his four years playing defensive end at Florida, Umanmielen’s experience with the quarterbacks on his own team were obligatorily cordial. As in, he was teammates with them, but they mostly kept to their own orbit.

And so it came as quite a shock when he hit the transfer portal and he was bombarded with a heavy dose of recruiting fervor from a quarterback he really did not know, other than facing him and his team in the Southeast Conference.

Yes, one of the big reasons — perhaps the biggest reason — Umanmielen landed at Ole Miss and played for the Rebels in 2024 was because Jaxson Dart was so relentless that it was practically impossible to say no to him.
