The inveterate invertebrate shows he has no plan & there is no principle he won’t ditch.” The Labour leader announced earlier that his flagship clean energy policy has been downgraded to just £4.7bn a year in the biggest about-turn of his leadership. Zelensky sacks army chief in major shake-up
The dismissal comes after weeks of speculation over General Valery Zaluzhny’s future after the pair became embroiled in a spat over strategy. Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, who led the defence of Kyiv in 2022 as well as the assault on the eastern Kharkiv region later that year, will take over as Commander-in-Chief. British soldier to be prosecuted for Belfast murder before amnesty begins
A former British soldier will be prosecuted for the murder of a man in Belfast in 1972 before a controversial law giving amnesty to Troubles-era killers comes into force. Northern Ireland’s Public Prosecution Service said the ex-soldier and three other veterans are also facing counts of attempted murder related to incidents in the same year.

Business news: First ‘private’ nuclear reactor to power 2m British homes
