Haunting new details have emerged a week after a 31-year-old Disney superfan vanished from her Illinois home before killing herself at Disney World.
Summer Equitz, 31, died at the Contemporary Resort on October 14, around 10 months after sharing an ultrasound photo alongside her husband Nicholas Danlovich.
The Daily Mail has now learned that Equitz gave birth to a baby daughter earlier this year and is believed to have been suffering from postpartum depression.
Multiple locals who knew Equitz detailed the young mother’s mental health struggles at a local event held earlier this week, while hailing her kind-hearted personality.
Officials in Florida ruled last week that she died due to multiple blunt impact injuries.
She traveled from the family home in Naperville, Illinois, to the Florida resort last week without telling loved ones who frantically searched for her.
Their search ended in heartbreak after officials confirmed last Wednesday that it was Equitz who took her own life.
A post made on Reddit, seemingly by a close relative, had asked those in the park to keep an eye out for Equitz – who was a Disney superfan.
After news started to spread online that someone had taken their own life at the four-star hotel on Tuesday night, the post was deleted.

Equitz and Danilovich had celebrated their honeymoon at Walt Disney World Resort exactly a year before her death.
In December of last year they then shared the news that Equitz was pregnant to their social media pages.
Equitz had also shared images of herself spending time at Disney theme parks, including one image with the entertainment giant’s chief executive Bob Iger.
She shared the image of herself alongside Iger in April 2021, captioning it: ‘My life has peaked.’
In the picture she was seen wearing a Disney T-shirt, as well as a Mickey Mouse baseball cap.
Although she was wearing a mask, Equitz appeared to be overcome with emotion after meeting Iger.
According to Equitz’s LinkedIn profile she was most recently employed as a nanny, having previously worked as a social media consultant for several firms.

In a theater blog post by the Yorba Linda Spotlight Theater Company that highlighted her work, she said she had been performing in musical theater since 4th grade.
She added that Beauty and the Beast was her favorite Disney film, while adding she had aspirations of portraying Ursula from The Little Mermaid.
