I tried an at-home microdermabrasion kit – and it gave me glowing skin

The Microdermabrasion kit is an at-home skin treatment that has been designed to remove dead skin cells from the outer layer of the skin. Here’s what happened when I tried it

Microdermabrasion, a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that exfoliates and removes the superficial layer of dry, dead skin cells, has been made accessible at home by Skin Krush with their new kit.

The Microdermabrasion kit is an at-home skin treatment that eliminates dead skin cells from the skin’s outer layer. The deep exfoliation enhances the effectiveness of skincare products. After testing it for six weeks, I found it made a significant difference.

This device, ideal for those aged 18 to 45, aims to improve skin texture, remove blemishes and maintain a «youthful glow», as per the company’s claims.

The product description further states: «Whether you’re dealing with occasional breakouts, uneven skin tone, or simply want to refresh your complexion, this device provides professional-grade exfoliation at home.»

Benefits include a reduction in blackheads and milia, reduced pigmentation, and diminished fine lines. It also results in glowing and rejuvenated skin.

To utilise the kit, I began by washing my skin with my cleanser and patting it dry with a towel before attaching a small white filter onto the tip of the tool.

This aids in collecting the dead skin cells during the treatment. It comes with a variety of heads, and if you’re uncertain which one to use first or how to use them, Skin Krush is available for any queries and assistance.

Once I had attached the chosen tip, I pressed the button to initiate the gentle suction, first testing it on my hand and leg before moving onto my face.

Next, I stretched my face to allow the device to glide smoothly over my skin. Although initially ensuring every area of my face was covered was a bit tricky, it soon became second nature once I established a routine.

I used this device once a week for six weeks, without changing the head, as I was satisfied with the one in use.

After finishing and removing the tip, you can inspect the filter to see the accumulated dead skin cells. Sometimes there were quite a few for me, other times not so much.

It’s crucial to apply a lightweight SPF afterwards if you’re going out for the day, or a moisturiser at night. Also, avoid using any skincare products containing Vitamin A or Retinols for 24 hours after using a device like this.

Having struggled with texture, acne and millia all my adult life, I was genuinely impressed with the results of this. My skin felt smoother, softer, and I felt my skincare products were working more effectively.

Moreover, these results were just after six weeks, so I’m eager to continue using the kit to see even further long-term results.
