A teenager has claimed she was ‘bullied out of her job’ at Home Bargains because she was the ‘pretty young girl’.
Shannon Gellatly, 19, left her role at the store on Talbot Road, in Blackpool, after she claimed the ‘toxic’ work environment became too much.
Taking to social media to share her experience, Ms Gellatly said she was publicly humiliated and mocked about her mental health and personal life by staff at the store because she was the ‘pretty young girl’.
She even claimed that on one occasion she had ‘shelves of stock’ pushed on’ her.

Ms Gellatly explained: ‘Got to the point where I’d literally cry while getting ready or have panic attacks. I cried to my father about how incredibly insecure I was.
‘Constantly think about what would happen today?’
Ms Gellatly alleged she cannot walk into the store now without receiving ‘dirty looks’ from members of staff.
She said she had chosen to speak out because ‘I wouldn’t want it to happen to anyone else’.
Home Bargains has confirmed it is investigating the allegations made by Ms Gellatly.
Ms Gellatly has since found a new job.
