Jennifer Lopez was spotted at Ben Affleck’s rental home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles on Sunday, August 11, more than two months after they were last photographed together.
Lopez, 55, arrived at Affleck’s place around 5 PM and stayed for nearly five hours, departing just before 10 PM.
Earlier in the day, the “On The Floor” singer was photographed at the home of Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
Lopez dropped off one of her kids, Emme, and picked up Samuel to take him shopping at Neiman Marcus and later to the Century City mall. Although it’s unclear who they were shopping for, Affleck’s birthday is August 15.
Lopez and Affleck are widely believed to be heading toward divorce. The pair were last seen together on May 30 when they attended Violet’s high school graduation. Before that, they were in Santa Monica at a separate school event on May 19. That sighting ended another dry spell – 47 days long — of them not being spotted together.
The news of Lopez visiting Affleck, 51, is all the more noteworthy because they have reportedly not been in contact as of late, with sources claiming their business managers have been working out the details of their alleged divorce.
The pair spent the summer apart – with Lopez vacationing in Europe and the Hamptons and Affleck reportedly focusing on work.
They were not together for their second wedding anniversary or Lopez’s 55th birthday, both of which were in July.
Though they are living apart, Affleck and Lopez purchased a $60.8 million Beverly Hills mansion in 2023. They put the house on the market in July for $68 million, adding fuel to the split rumors. That same month, Affleck purchased a $20.5 million LA bachelor pad, which he reportedly hasn’t moved into yet.
Lopez is allegedly looking for a house of her own. The “Jenny from the Block” singer wants to “start fresh” as she and Affleck go about “moving on separately,” a source told People.
Affleck “is doing well,” an insider said, adding, “It hasn’t been the easiest summer for him either. He’s just trying to stay focused and make every day as good as possible.”
On Friday, Lopez was photographed grabbing lunch in Beverly Hills with her 16-year-old Emme.
Lopez and Affleck first started dating in 2002 and got engaged shortly after. They split in 2004 but ended up reuniting in 2021 before getting married in 2022.
To make matters potentially even more awkward for the couple, Affleck produced a movie in which Lopez stars.
The film, “Unstoppable,” is a biopic based on the real-life story of wrestler Anthony Robles, who won the 2011 NCAA individual national championship despite being born with one leg. It is slated for a September premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
