Justin Timberlake once admitted to getting “completely plastered” and doing drugs nearly 18 years before he was arrested for DWI early Tuesday morning.
“I’ve done way too many drugs already. I’ve already inhaled and I’ve already … who knows?” the “SexyBack” singer, 43, told British magazine Observer Music Monthly in 2006, per “Today.”
“I’m just like everyone else, I get completely plastered, I’ve done my fair share of drugs and I’ve been caught places with my pants down,” he added.
“It’s just I make sure there are no cameras around.”
Timberlake’s comments about drugs and alcohol resurfaced after the *NSYNC frontman was arrested for DWI in Sag Harbor, N.Y.
Sources told Page Six that the 10-time Grammy winner was having dinner at the American Hotel “with a bunch of friends” Monday night and “there were cops stationed outside where he was having dinner.”
After Timberlake, who was driving a 2025 gray BMW, left the venue, we’re told the cops “pulled out and they pulled him over for a traffic violation.”
“His friends were telling the police, ‘Let him go, let him go,’” one insider spilled.
During his traffic stop, the pop star was given a field sobriety test and “refused” to take a breathalyzer test.
We’re also told that the cop who pulled Timberlake over “was so young that he didn’t even know” who he was.
“He didn’t recognize him or his name,” our insider said.
A second source added, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”
Timberlake was arrested and taken into custody shortly after midnight. He was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two other traffic violations: not stopping at a stop sign and failure to stay in a proper lane of travel.
According to the criminal complaint obtained by Page Six, the “Friends with Benefits” actor had “bloodshot” and “glassy” eyes and a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” on his breath during the traffic stop.
Timberlake insisted he only had “one martini” before he “followed” his friends home.
Additionally, the “Until the End Of Time” crooner “was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,” per the complaint.
On Tuesday morning, the dad of two was seen leaving the Sag Harbor police station, trying to keep a low profile in a baseball cap and sunglasses.
Timberlake’s attorney is prominent Hamptons lawyer Eddie Burke Jr. His next court date is July 26 but he will not have to attend the procedural date.
