Unlike celebrities today, Khloé Kardashian didn’t have the option to take Ozempic to lose weight back when she was heavier — but, according to the reality star, she would’ve tried the drug if it were around at that time.
Kardashian opens up about her weight loss journey in the most recent episode of The Kardashians, titled “This Is My Most Important Job,” when she visits the Fabletics offices to promote her new collaboration with the workout clothing brand.
“Working out is something that makes me happy and to do something that is this authentic to me, something that I genuinely love, makes my heart so happy,” she says.
The Good American founder holds an audience Q&A in which she reveals her workout regiment: circuit training with cardio intervals to spike her heart rate up and down.
While Kardashian says she lost weight the old fashioned way, she admits in her confessional that she would’ve used weight loss drugs like Ozempic if they were available when she was “bigger.”
“When I was bigger, if they had Ozempic, I probably would’ve tried it,” she says. “Because I tried any other thing. I tried any fad weight loss trend except for the real thing that actually works — and that’s a lifestyle change.”
She continues, “So I really want to encourage healthiness and not about the number on a scale. I just think people should be active. I don’t really care about what your size is. You should just be healthy and stronger for yourself.”
Kardashian previously looked back on her weight loss journey in a May 2024 episode of the health and wellness podcast SheMD, in which she detailed some of the fad diets she tried.
“I would, let’s say, cut out all sodas. Little by little, I would cut things out,” she said, per People. “I would do that for a week and then cut out one other thing because I realized, I did every diet under the sun when I was younger.”
The star also admitted she was “a major emotional eater” — and while she would “feel so good eating,” she would feel “so bad” when she was done.
“And then I would cry and probably do it again because I was sad so I needed the ice cream again,” she explained. “And it was this crazy repeat cycle, but I gave myself a lot of patience and I just took my time.”
New episodes of The Kardashians drop every Thursday on Hulu.
