A heavily pregnant Texas woman lost her baby after she was kicked multiple times in the stomach by another woman over a minor car crash.

The victim, who was in her second trimester, hit a parking pole, a curb and was forced to side sweep her car into another when her flip-flop got stuck in between the gas and brake pedals.

The crash happened in front of a corner store off Lockwood Drive in Houston on July 27.

‘I got stuck. I gave a little bit of gas and I side-swiped a vehicle behind me,’ the unidentified woman told KHOU11

As the young victim stepped out of her own vehicle to examine the damage, she was approached by another woman.

While the victim attempted to get her bearings, the other woman allegedly grabbed her purse from a seat inside the car and began rummaging through it.

‘I thought maybe I hit her car because she came up from behind me,  came up and grabbed my purse out of the passenger seat of the car.

‘She has my wallet out and she’s taking all my credit cards out,’ she recalled.

When the pregnant woman attempted to confront the suspect and take her purse back, she allegedly began kicking the victim in the stomach.

Immediately after the first kick, the expectant mother informed the suspect that she was pregnant. But instead of deterring or apologizing, the other lady kicked her again.

‘I started crying because when she kicked me the second time, it hurt,’ she said.

Officials who first arrived at the scene initially refused to believe what had happened, the victim alleged.

After a few minutes of convincing, they viewed the surveillance video and realized what had transpired.

An ambulance was then called to the scene and she was taken to an area hospital.

DailyMail.com has contacted the Houston Police Department for more information.

Multiple ultrasounds showed that the baby, who had been named Nevaeh, had lost its heartbeat and doctors were forced to induce her.

‘I cried a lot in the hospital. It didn’t seem real. I think the hardest thing was giving natural birth to her.

‘I lay in bed, cry a lot of times – why did this happen to me? Why did she have to be taken from me?

‘I would like to find this lady and bring justice to my daughter,’ she said.

Officials are still waiting on an autopsy report to determine whether the attack was the official cause for the baby’s death.

The pregnant woman’s car was also towed from the scene and auctioned off after 30 days.

An investigation was launched by the Houston Police Department and anyone with information has been asked to contact the cops or CrimeStoppers.
