On Wednesday, November 12, Democrats on the Oversight Committee in the House of Representatives released several emails in which Epstein discussed Trump. These messages, widely picked up by American media, undermined the billionaire’s claim that the two men, once close, had abruptly ended their relationship in the early 2000s.
In response, Republicans released thousands of documents, which led to a saturation effect. The initial selection by American media contained no decisive revelation. In an email to a New York Times reporter, Epstein explained that Trump once walked into a door at his house and left «his nose print on the glass» as he was «so focused» on the young women in a swimming pool.
