A couple have been slammed after taking their toddler on an eight-hour international flight with a 104 degree fever.

Content creator Alina often posts controversial stories about motherhood but sparked a fierce debate in her most recent video which showed her sick one-year-old on the airplane to Thailand.

‘My husband and I wanted to cancel the flight and our tickets would have been wasted and the trip would have cost us $3,000 would have been wasted,’ Alina, who is based in Turkey, wrote on the video.

She added they managed to bring the baby’s temperature down before their flight, but admitted they were ‘worried’ about how their child would feel on the eight-hour flight.

‘One plus of this flight was that the flight was at night and the child could sleep and recover,’ she added.

However, despite the mom-of-one’s best laid plans it did not go smoothly – with the sick toddler waking up and crying the entire flight.

‘We had to bring down the temperature again in the night… we were very worried,’ she admitted.

Commenters slammed the parents for their choice to possibly put their child in danger, as well as everyone else on the flight.

‘Truly demented to stage and film this video with your sick baby instead of just focusing on taking care of your child,’ one appalled user wrote.

‘It’s ok don’t worry about making anyone else on that flight sick,’ another sarcastically said.

‘This is so tremendously selfish you are appalling for doing this to him and others,’ they added.

Another furiously wrote: ‘My son’s health is worth more then any money or holiday!!! My son would be in a hospital not on a flight!’

‘Brought a sick child in confined space to make others sick, he’s sick what if it’s his ears and they get damaged from air pressure,’ questioned someone else. ‘There is times not to travel with a child. This is one!!!’

Alina has since hit back at critics saying they brought down the baby’s temperature, and ‘the temperature is because the baby is teething, not because he is sick.’

‘This isn’t the first time he’s had this,’ she claimed.

The mom added she had ‘all the necessary’ medications with her, and didn’t feel like her baby was in danger.

‘I consider myself a wonderful mother,’ she said confidently. ‘My baby’s health is priceless and I love him madly.’

In a follow-up video, the mom said the entire family ended up getting food poisoning once they were in Thailand.

She shared a video saying the whole family experienced high fevers, diarrhea and and nausea, which resulted in her being bed-ridden for three days and needing an IV drip.

In another clip, Alina explained they most likely had food poising from drinking the water in Thailand from the tap, which can be contaminated.
