The lawyer who represented Virginia Giuffre in her sex assault lawsuit against Prince Andrew called on the royal to  “say sorry and come clean” in wake of her suicide.

Attorney David Boies said Monday Andrew, who was accused of having sex with Giuffre when she was a teen and trafficked by dead pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, finally needed to “take responsibility for what he did.”

“I think she would have accepted Prince Andrew taking responsibility,” Boies told “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

“I’d like to have him say he’s sorry,” Boies added, “even if he doesn’t remember what happened.

“I think he needs to recognize that he had, clearly, had sex with young girls with Jeffery Epstein,” he added.

Boise, who represented Giuffre during her lawsuit against Prince Andrew in 2022, said the settlement that was reached was only a starting point, and that his client had always hoped for a formal apology from the royal before her death last Friday.

Giuffre, 41, was found dead inside her home, with the family revealing that “she lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.”

Giuffre’s death came just weeks after she took to social media to claim she had just “days to live” after claiming she was injured in a March 24 collision with a school bus, claims that were later disputed by the bus driver and police.

The 41-year-old mother later claimed she suffered years of physical abuse at the hands of her husband, Robert Giuffre. The couple had recently separated after 22 years of marriage.

Giuffre became a leading advocate for sex crime victims as one of the most vocal accusers of Epstein, the disgraced US financier who took his own life in 2019 while locked up in Manhattan on charges he sex trafficked minors.

Giuffre sued Andrew in 2021 claiming the Duke of York had sex with her three times when she was a teen in London, New York and the US Virgin Islands.

An infamous 2001 photo shows a 17-year-old Guiffre posing for a photo with Andrew and the now-convicted madam Ghislaine Maxwell, who was found guilty of aiding Epstein’s sex trafficking in 2021.

Andrew has long denied the accusations made against him by Giuffre, including in a disastrous, televised interview with the BBC in 2019 — during which he made the bizarre claim that he couldn’t have abused her because he was unable to sweat.

The two reached a settlement in 2022 for an undisclosed amount of money, which sources previously told The Post amounted to some $12 million.

Andrew’s statement at the time did not admit any wrongdoing — but simply said he accepts Giuffre has suffered as an “established victim” of sex abuse.

“Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms. Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks,” the statement said.

“It is known that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked countless young girls over many years. Prince Andrew regrets his association with Epstein, and commends the bravery of Ms. Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others.”
