It’s never too early in the year to look into sex trends.
And FetishFinder – a site where you can buy and sell fetish content – analyzed data from Google Keyword Planner to figure out just which sex positions were seeing the biggest surge in 2025 so far.
And while you might expect something pretty common or basic like Doggy Style or Missionary, the results may surprised you.
The most popular surge was for the Bear Hug sex position – which saw a 623 percent spike from 2024 to 2025.
If you’ve never heard of this sex position, it’s a great option if you’re looking for something extremely intimate.

The Bear Hug is pretty self-explanatory – it’s done with both partners vertical, and embracing each other.
While the Bear Hug took the top spot, it’s not the only position turning heads.
Coming in second with a whopping 510 percent surge in searches, the Filthy Sanchez has people raising eyebrows- but probably out of curiosity rather than actual enthusiasm.
Less of a position and more of an internet shock-term relic, this one is best left in the early 2000s.
Meanwhile, the Anvil has been making waves with a 275 percent increase in searches.
It’s all about deep penetration, with one partner lying on their back, legs overhead, while the other kneels and thrusts downward.
For those who like a bit of a workout with their pleasure, the Bridge position has seen a 274 percent rise.
It’s exactly what it sounds like – one partner arches their back into a literal bridge while the other takes control from above or between their legs.

The Full Nelson, up 223 percent in searches, is proof that a little dominance is trending.

Of course, some classics are still going strong.

The Straddle, up 184 percent, is another fan favorite, putting one partner in charge of pace, rhythm, and depth.
But for those looking to really push their limits, the Piledriver and Butter Churner – both up 149 percent – are as acrobatic as they sound.
In both, the receiving partner lies back with their legs raised toward their head while the other kneels and thrusts.
Not exactly a beginner-friendly move, but definitely one for the adventurous.
And rounding out the top ten, the Praying Mantis saw a 146 percent rise.
In this one, the receiving partner crouches forward on all fours while the other enters from behind, making for a dynamic and a pretty fun visual.
People are getting more creative, more daring, and maybe a little more flexible in the bedroom this year.
