It was sad to watch the deterioration of a Super Bowl champion quarterback who would have had two rings if Pete Carroll had maybe given Marshawn Lynch the ball at the Patriots’ 1.
Russell Wilson was a $124 million bust who blew the Broncos’ salary cap to smithereens. He had a private office inside the facility and his “Broncos Country, Let’s Ride” marketing promo was mocked. He had lost his swagger. He could no longer be Houdini when the play broke down. He never could threaten the middle of the field.
