Sam Thompson’s ex-girlfriend, Zara McDermott, has reportedly moved on with One Direction star, Louis Tomlinson, after calling it quits with Sam in December
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! winner, Sam Thompson, is reportedly finding news of Zara McDermott’s new romance difficult to deal with.
Just three months after Zara, 28, and Sam, 32, called it quits, the Love Island star is said to be dating One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, 33, sending shockwaves through the showbiz world.
Sam, who will come face-to-face with Louis for Soccer Aid in June, is yet to comment directly on his ex’s new direction, however, he is said to be finding the speed at which she’s moved on «tough».
Insisting that the Made In Chelsea star accepts that ‘Louis is her new man’ and is no way ‘feeling sorry for himself’ a source conceded that it is «tough» «when your ex moves on so quickly».

They told the Mail: «‘As far as he’s concerned, Louis is Zara’s new man and he’s just got to accept it. He’s a positive guy and will just move on from this, throwing himself into work and getting stuck into the exciting projects he’s got coming up.
«Obviously he was sad when their relationship broke up and, like anyone, when your ex moves so quickly it’s tough. And if he was both angry and devastated, that would be understandable. But he’s not sitting around wallowing in self pity, far from it.»
Zara and Louis Tomlinson have fuelled speculation they are dating after being spotted at a cosy dinner in Suffolk. The Strictly Come Dancing star – who split from Sam in December – was seen on a date with the One Direction singer, but the pair are said to be taking things slowly as they get to know one another.
Not much is yet known about Zara and Louis’ new romance, however rumours started about the pair a few weeks back, when eagle eyed fans noted that they followed each other on social media. Louis’ sisters Lottie, Daisy and Phoebe also follow the documentary maker and Strictly star on Instagram. Zara also follows them all back.
Zara, who is said to have told Sam about her romance with Louis, before it was made public, moved out of the home she shared with the Made In Chelsea star earlier this year.
As to why they split, it seems they were heading in different directions, with a source saying at the time they were both focusing on their career.
Sam, who won I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2023, has his popular podcast with pal, Pete Wicks to focus on, while Zara is working on a new documentary as well as focusing on her lucrative gig as an influencer.
