In the Drama category, the epic FX / Hulu historical drama “Shogun” had a huge night at the 2024 Emmys, taking home the “best actor” and “best actress” in a drama series, respectively, for stars Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada, before topping it off with a win for Outstanding Drama series.
For comedy, HBO’s «Hacks» took home the trophy, after Jean Smart took home the Emmy for her starring role in the series earlier in the evening.
