Eagle-eyed Strictly fans were quick to comment on a sweet moment between Vito Coppola and his dance partner Ellie Goldstein. The pair took to the floor on icons week to perform a routine to a Spice Girls medley.
And following their salsa, the duo stood in front of the judges ready for their feedback. It was there that fans noticed Italian dancer embrace his partner and sweetly wipe away a tear.
Ellie, who is a huge Spice Girls fan was dressed as Baby Spice for their performance and it was clear that the moment nearly became overwhelming for the actress. However, Vito was on hand to help compose her again, much to the delight of viewers.

Taking to Twitter / X one user wrote: «Vito checking on Ellie and dabbing away a tear. #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing» They added crying emoji faces to the upload.
«Vito’s pride for Ellie is so sweet and endearing. #strictly #StrictlyComeDancing,» gushed another. And a third added: «Vito deserves a lot of praise with how he’s taught Ellie to dance.»
Following the performance and judge’s comments, Ellie was surprised once again as she received a special on-screen message from Emma Bunton. The Spice Girls star told Ellie she was her favourite contestant and was thrilled to see her dress as her.
Vito and Ellie scored 28 overall for their routine. While Motsi Mabuse landed the duo an impressive eight, Shirley Ballas gave them a seven, Craig Revel Horwood scored them six and they received a seven from Anton Du Beke.
Elsewhere on the show, Alex Kingston transformed into Dolly Parton for an impressive routine alongside Johannes Radebe. And the judges were thrilled by the Foxtrot offering. Motsi said: «This dancing is so tough, I tell you but you look like you’re floating on air. You did have a little hiccup, there, I saw it, I saw it. But you just kept it up!»
Afterwards, Alex admitted: «I spend half the week thinking I’m going to hate it, but then halfway through I realise that I love it!»
And she also revealed how Dolly herself gave her a special message through the week. Thanking La Voix, who was dressed as Cher, she explained how the Country icon shared a sweet message with her.
The duo ended up with a high score of 32. Anton was the most impressed of the four judges, with him lauding a nine on the pair.
At the start of the show, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman also addressed their decision to leave Strictly Come Dancing at the end of the series. The duo kept it short, but emotions were clear.
Claudia said: «We want to thank you for your beautiful messages, we’ve got another eight weeks on this incredible show.» Tess then added: «We cannot wait to spend the rest of the show with you, with our amazing couples and of course with these four, please welcome the judges.»
