The expansive colonial-style house, which is located in Taftville, went on sale last month – but someone on Reddit was quick to notice an interesting detail about the abode that the realtor failed to mention.
It turns out, it used to be a funeral home – but its ominous past was conveniently left out of its listing.
A Reddit user who goes by Last-Satisfaction333 shared a screenshot of the listing under the subreddit Mildly Infuriating on Sunday.
He also included a grab of the Google Street View of the house, which included a sign in front that reads, ‘Guillot Funeral Home.’

‘Real estate forgot to mention a detail,’ they captioned it.
The post quickly went viral, gaining more than 5,000 likes and hundreds of comments, and some people were quick to slam the realtor for not being transparent about the home’s previous use.
‘Some superstitious people or people who believe in ghosts and spirits would like to know that info beforehand,’ one person scathed.
‘And maybe you don’t want to carry the stigma of living in a funeral home since it’s not socially normative.
‘Or [maybe] you just don’t want to be [known as] the family from the funeral home which can repel other superstitious people.’
Others wondered if it meant it would be ‘haunted,’ while someone else said they would be ‘more concerned about lingering orders and chemical residue.’
‘I’d be concerned about getting «deliveries» from people who think it’s still a mortuary,’ one person mused.

‘There’s no reason to mention that. It’s a funeral home, not a murder house,’ said someone else.

According to its listing, the ‘unique’ home as ‘many potential uses.’

Built in 1946, it boasts five bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, a media room, playroom, living room, family room with a gas fireplace, office, and two kitchens.
There’s also a ‘porch overlooking the beautiful backyard’ on the second floor and a three-car garage on the property.
It stretches across 5,360-square-feet and sits on two acres of land.
