A man was pummeled by bystanders after he was caught pleasuring himself in the waves at a busy beach.
The disturbing incident took place on the shores of a beach in the Copacabana area of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Sunday as children and other beachgoers were swimming.
Footage recorded by a witness showed the man, who was naked, with his back turned to the beach as a woman began shouting in his direction.
Another bystander angrily walked into the water and appeared to reprimand the man before grabbing him by the neck and pushing him down.
He then punched the offender, before a second sunbather rushed over and ordered him off the beach.
A group of witnesses surrounded the man, delivering slaps, punches and kicks, before he stood up and put on on his swimming trunks.
The incident comes just a week after a group of beachgoers were caught having an orgy in an isolated area of an upscale resort town 100 east of Rio de Janeiro.
Video of the incident, apparently recorded by a passenger on passing vessel, went viral and provoked outrage among the locals.

That orgy reportedly started on New Year’s Eve and lasted until dawn.
