CCTV footage captured the dramatic moment a little girl was chased by a coyote through her backyard.
Charlie Schmidt had been working outside his home in Portland, Oregon when his 4-year-old daughter started running through the yard.
His children and a neighbour had been playing together when his daughter said ‘dad there’s a coyote’.
The girl jumped onto a table to get away from the animal before her father shouted an expletive and ran towards her.
Schmidt then jumped into action grabbing his daughter and scooping her up before telling everyone to get inside.

Schmidt told KGW a local news station in Portland that it was ‘abnormal’ for the animals to chase children
One of the other children can be heard shouting: ‘There is a coyote quickly get inside’.
The father then runs out of sight with his daughter in his arms. Nobody was injured during the incident.
