A youth leader at a Texas megachurch has been arrested for child porn charges after admitting he ‘struggled’ with vile habit to a church member.
Youth Leader, Charles Goff, was arrested after admitting to a church member in June that he struggled with pornography, especially with videos of girls between the ages of 14 and 15, KTXS reported.
After meeting with detectives, Goff admitted he solicited nude photos of teenage girls on social media and police found three pornographic videos featuring minors on his phone, the outlet said.
The Beltway Park Church volunteer was booked into the Taylor County Jail on a $100,000 bond for the possession of child pornography.
Beltway Park Church said in a statement that Goff volunteered for them for roughly three years, including this past summer, and had passed the background check in 2022 and 2024.

‘Prior to the report in June, he had served in good standing, with no prior concerns or complaints raised,’ the church said.
The religious institution currently does not believe any of their youth members were involved in Goff’s scheme.
‘We currently have no indication that any minors from our church were involved in any inappropriate activity with this former volunteer,’ it said in a statement.
‘We have tremendous grief for any children in any location who may be proven to have been harmed by this person’s actions.’
Last year, a longtime Texas pastor, David Lloyd Walther, pleaded guilty to child pornography charges after more than 100,000 BDSM and bestiality images were found on his hard drive.
Last year, David Lloyd Walther, a former pastor at the Faith Baptist Church in Round Rock, Texas, pleaded guilty to being in possession of thousands of child porn images
According to the US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas, Walther knowingly ‘searched for, downloaded, distributed and possessed child sexual abuse material, including child pornography – some of which depicted prepubescent minors.’
The office said Walther used BitTorrent, a peer-to-peer file-sharing network to download more than 100,000 images and more than 5,000 videos of child sexual abuse material, which were found during a November 2022 search of his home and car.
At the time of his arrest, Walther was serving as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Round Rock, Texas, about 20 miles north of Austin.
