Also check the fitting of your kitchen cabinets’ kickboards, as these typically sit further in than the rest of your kitchen unit. As your dishwasher will be placed behind this, you’ll need to ensure that the bottom of your dishwasher fits in this space.
“Lastly, a sturdy and level floor is essential. Due to the doors of your cabinet and the dishwasher, if the floor is not level or tends to sink, the dishwasher may shift position after installation. This could cause the doors to catch, making loading and unloading difficult.
“Next, ensure there is a suitable power source available. Most dishwasher power cables are approximately 1-2 meters long. It’s best practice and much safer to plug larger appliances directly into the electricity plug, instead of using extension leads.
“If the place you intend placing your dishwasher does not have a suitable power source, you may want to chose an alternative location. If your budget allows, and your chosen space is the only option, you can also get a new socket fitted by a professional for your integrated dishwasher.
“One key consideration when choosing the most suitable appliance is its energy efficiency.
